Eleanor Murdoch Byars transitioned into the arms of Jesus early Friday morning, October 18, 2019. Her sons were by her side in her home in Sharpsburg, GA as she stepped into her eternal reward. Eleanor was born in Atlanta, GA, June 1, 1940. She is survived by her sons Chris and Clint Byars, daughter in law Sara Byars and grandchildren Sydney and Reese Byars. Eleanor was the only child of Homer and MaryEllen Murdoch.

Eleanor is the epitome of love and acceptance. She had the capacity to make you feel welcome in any environment, whether that be in a bar while shag dancing or at church at your first visit. She was trusting, innocent and care-free, to know her is to love her. Eleanor loved Jesus, her family and Shag Dancing. After retirement she spent her time volunteering in hospitals, serving in church and taking beach trips to dance.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made towards two of Eleanor's favorite ministries in Kenya, Desert Rose Ministries & Forward Church Kenya.
