FORWARD CHURCH KENYA
Through a mission trip with Evangelist Teresa June Webb of Desert Rose Ministries we met George Odero. Clint and George instantly connected and continued an online connection a few years before the establishment of Forward Church Kenya. In 2014 we raised the funds and built a church in Rongai which is just outside of Nairobi. George is well established in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He is a dynamic communicator who is pastoring a local church as well as training other pastors in the Gospel.
DESERT ROSE MINISTRIES
Many young girls are sold into an early marriage in primitive cultures in Kenya, they are then forced to endure FGM (female genitalia mutilation). Many times the young girls run away from home or even take their own lives to escape forced marriage and FGM. Desert Rose Girls Rescue finds homes for the girls and raises funds to send them to school. DRM is currently in the process of building a home for the girls to safely live while they complete their education.
EAST POKOT TRIBAL PROJECT
REACHING REMOTE TRIBES IN AFRICA
The people of East Pokot have been marginalized for over 250 years. Due to tribal border issues the people in the Chepungus village on Mt Paka in Kenya live a quality of life that most Westerners have only seen glimpses of on TV. They have no schools, no running water, no reliable food source other than the goats they herd, no access to medicine and little to no clean water.
We are working to provide basic needs in association with Desert Rose Ministries. In 2014 we were able to participate in the drilling of a well for them to have clean water. We are currently raising funds to build a permanent structure that can be used as a school, medical dispensary and church.
